I ordered a pepperoni pizza slice. I became alarmed when I noticed there was just one pepperoni on the pizza and then found that most of them were hidden beneath the cheese layer. I believe this was done on purpose to give it a distinctive appearance. The pizza's cheese was spread equally throughout. The pie's frame was airy and slightly firm, and the sauce had a subtle tartness. I also had a New York strip steak sandwich. The steak itself was delicious and had a good charred aroma from the grill. The only issue I had was that it was cooked too well, which made it difficult to chew. The bread is lightly toasted, has a lovely golden color, and is still fluffy. The sandwich is served with sliced tomatoes, a little sweet grilled onions, and freshly chopped lettuce. Despite its simplicity, the sandwich had a pleasant flavor and texture.

This past early September marked the very first time trying the popular Mount Prospect eatery after taking my boys to a nearby indoor playground. Venue has a spacious dining area with an old school classic vibe, slot machines, extensive all-around menu with really good food (especially the pizza) at still reasonable prices and friendly service. A cool place to dine in for some good quality eats and family/kid friendly indeed. I live all the way up in Beach Park but if ever down in the area again, I'd highly consider stopping at Mr. Beef and Pizza again! I've always strived to support local and hope for continued success & prosperity for the owner(s).

better than Portillos beefs imo. super good pizza too, I wasn't sure what to expect since it's more deep dishes out here but it's more of a new york slice, huge, for $4. will keep returning

Good food. Friendly staff. Only downside is the music. With its retro look should play retro music they should turn down the volume Little. It is bit loud. Other than that great place

I've been coming here ever since I moved into neighborhood over 5 years ago. Everything is good! The beef, the pizza, mostacciolli. Whatever. Good customer service as well. 2 thumbs up!

I been coming here since I was little and still by far the best of the best. I moved out of state and the only thing I want when I come back to home is Mr. Beef and Pizza. There is not one thing on the menu that I dislike. The service is ALWAYS consistent and friendly.

Pretty small portions for what it cost. I mean $18.00 For beef w/fries? Additionally the beef was scrappy and dry. The facility was clean and the service was good
